Motor, it's burning oil what seems like a lot to me, about every two weeks I dump two or three quarts in, it smokes on startup and a little on hard acceleration, motor seems like it's running great, no unusual sounds, but I'm guessing it's leaking through
There are many causes of the P0456 small evap leaks. If you鈥檝e found no leaks with a smoke machine test the purge solenoid. Make sure it holds vacuum. Another common failure if the ldp ( leak detection pump) the filter that connects to the ldp pump gets full of dirt. The first will eventually get passed the filter and get into the pump and

Need to change the oil in a 2004 Grand Cherokee with the 4.7 High Output Engine. Found some very interesting information and was wondering why would Chrysler change oil specs after a vehicle has been in service for six years? The factory service manual says 5w-30 is preferred up to 100F and it is even labeled on the oil fill cap.

The 4.0 needs oils with high ZDDP content to prevent premature cam and lifter wear. Unfortunately most newer oils (Castrol HM included) don't have much Zinc/ZDDP to satisfy the latest emissions requirements
